Sandeep Dikshit Criticizes AAP and BJP, Urges Voters to Reject “Sin Money”

26 January, 2025;In the run-up to the Delhi Assembly elections, Congress candidate from the New Delhi constituency, Sandeep Dikshit, has launched a sharp critique of both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Highlighting the pressing issue of unemployment, Dikshit stated that the dissatisfaction among the public with both ruling parties is evident.

“Unemployment is a common issue, and people are upset with both AAP and BJP,” he remarked. He accused the AAP of misleading the public, stating, “Our job is to expose the truth of AAP to people who are still living on false hopes.”

Dikshit further criticized the populist policies of AAP and BJP, alleging that their approach of distributing freebies is a superficial fix rather than a solution to core issues. He emphasized that genuine welfare comes through long-term development. “Welfare happens when you build hospitals, schools, and houses, not when you keep giving things for free,” he said.

The Congress leader did not hold back on allegations of unethical practices by the two rival parties. “Both parties (AAP and BJP) are distributing money to the public (to buy votes). I would tell people to throw this money on their faces as they should not accept money earned through sin,” he asserted.

On the topic of AAP’s candidate from the Jangpura Assembly seat, Manish Sisodia, Dikshit also raised questions about the Deputy Chief Minister’s decision to shift constituencies. “If tasks were getting fulfilled under the Dy CM, why did he (Manish Sisodia) run from his Patparganj seat?” he asked, pointing to what he sees as a lack of accountability and confidence within the AAP leadership.

Dikshit’s remarks reflect Congress’s broader strategy to position itself as a credible alternative in Delhi politics, aiming to challenge the dominance of AAP and BJP. With unemployment and ethical governance taking center stage in his campaign, Dikshit seeks to reconnect with voters who may feel disillusioned by the current administration.

As the election campaign heats up, all eyes will be on how these accusations resonate with voters and whether they can shift the balance of power in Delhi’s political landscape.
