PM Inaugurates and Lays Foundation for Various Development Initiatives Valued at Approximately Rs 7300 Crores in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh

On February 11, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially dedicated and initiated several development projects totaling approximately Rs 7300 crores in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. This significant investment aims to enhance the tribal region’s infrastructure, focusing on water supply, drinking water, roads, railways, power, and education sectors, promising considerable benefits for the local tribal population.

In a significant move to support the tribal communities, the Prime Minister distributed the monthly Aahar Anudan installment to around 2 lakh women from particularly backward tribes, awarded 1.75 lakh property rights records to beneficiaries of the SVAMITVA scheme, and allocated Rs 55.9 crores to 559 villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana for various development activities.

The Prime Minister’s initiatives reflect the Antyodaya vision, aimed at ensuring the farthest reaches of society benefit from development. This includes the disbursement of Aahar Anudan, providing Rs 1500 monthly for nutritious food to women of specific backward tribes, and the distribution of land rights under the SVAMITVA scheme, enhancing ownership and empowerment among villagers.

Further, the Prime Minister inaugurated several projects to bolster water supply and initiated the redevelopment of Ratlam and Meghnagar Railway stations under the Amrit Bharat station scheme. He also laid the foundation for significant road projects worth over Rs 3275 crore to improve connectivity and economic development in the region.

Educational initiatives were also part of the agenda, with the laying of foundation stones for the ‘CM Rise School’ and Tantya Mama Bhil University, aimed at integrating technology in education and catering to the tribal youth.

The Prime Minister’s visit was marked by the commencement of numerous projects designed to strengthen the infrastructure, improve living standards, and promote economic growth in Madhya Pradesh. He was accompanied by Madhya Pradesh’s Governor Mangubhai C. Patel, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav, and Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Shri Arjun Munda, among others.
