DELHI 1 MAY: Delhi Education Minister Atishi has urged parents and the public to remain calm and reassured everyone that the Delhi government is closely coordinating with the police and schools. This comes after approximately 90 schools in the Delhi-NCR area received bomb threats on Wednesday morning, leading to the immediate evacuation of students. Upon hearing of the threats, concerned parents hurried to the schools to collect their children.

After receiving the threatening emails, schools were evacuated and local authorities were notified. Emergency response teams, including bomb detection units, bomb disposal squads, and fire brigade officials, were dispatched to the affected schools promptly.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has advised the public not to panic, indicating that the bomb threats are likely to be hoax calls. Delhi Police and other security agencies are responding according to standard protocols, the ministry noted.

After a meticulous inspection of all the schools following the established procedures, Delhi Police have confirmed that no dangerous items were found. They noted that the calls seem to be hoaxes and have appealed to the public to stay calm and maintain order.
Ravinder Yadav, Special CP of Delhi Police Crime Branch, stated, “These threatening emails were sent to several schools and some hospitals yesterday. Comprehensive checks are being carried out. Our teams, including the Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad, and fire tenders, are on site. Even though these appear to be hoax calls, we are not taking any risks and will proceed with an investigation.”
