May 18;Telugu television actor Chandrakanth, popularly known as Chandu, has reportedly died by suicide at his home in Alkapur, Telangana. His passing on Friday has deeply saddened the Telugu television community, especially following the recent tragic death of his co-star and close friend, Pavithra Jayaram, in a road accident. According to Chandrakanth’s father, the actor had been struggling with depression in the days leading up to his death.
Chandrakanth was found deceased at his residence in Alkapur, Rangareddy District, Telangana, shortly after the death of his ‘Trinayani’ co-actor, Pavithra Jayaram, in a tragic accident. Reports indicate that Chandrakanth was found hanging at the same home he shared with Pavithra, and he was profoundly affected by her untimely passing. He was also involved in the accident that claimed her life.
On Sunday, May 12, Pavithra Jayaram died in a road accident in Hyderabad when a bus collided with her car. At the time of the accident, she was accompanied by her sister Apeksha, driver Srikant, and Chandrakanth.
Deeply grieving Pavithra’s death, Chandrakanth expressed his sorrow through heartfelt tributes to his ‘Trinayani’ co-star. His final Instagram post was a poignant homage to Pavithra, with rumors suggesting they were in a relationship. One of his posts read, “Papa netho digina last pic raa. not able to digest to left me alone, okasari mama aniii piluveee plsss @pavithrajayaram_chandar. My Pavi is no more, pls ra come back plsss. (Papa, this is the last picture we took together. I can’t bear being without you. Just call me ‘mama’ once please @pavithrajayaram_chandar. My beloved Pavi is gone, please come back).” His Instagram profile is filled with memories captured with Pavithra Jayaram.
