Finance Minister Refutes Banerjee’s Claims
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has addressed allegations made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the recent Niti Aayog meeting. Banerjee claimed that her microphone was turned off during the meeting, which Sitharaman firmly disputes.
Clarification on Speaking Time
According to Sitharaman, all Chief Ministers, including Mamata Banerjee, were allocated their respective speaking times during the Niti Aayog meeting. Each CM’s time was clearly displayed on screens placed at every table. Sitharaman emphasized that Banerjee was given her due time to speak, countering the claim of any technical disruptions.
Denial of Technical Issues
Sitharaman addressed Banerjee’s media statements alleging that her mic was switched off, calling these claims entirely false. The Finance Minister clarified that there were no issues with the microphones or the time allocation system. The claims made by Banerjee do not reflect the actual proceedings of the meeting.
