Kangana Ranaut Expresses Concerns About Negative PR Surrounding Her Upcoming Film ‘Emergency’

Mumbai – Renowned Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold statements and fearless attitude, recently voiced her apprehensions regarding the potential negative PR campaigns against her upcoming film, Emergency. In a candid conversation, Kangana revealed her concerns about the efforts that might be made by certain individuals within the film industry to tarnish the film’s reputation.

Kangana stated, “People who are waiting to spread negativity on this film will do PR to defame the film. This is our only concern.” The actress highlighted that, despite the film’s significance and the effort put into its creation, there are forces within the industry that can be “extremely negative to the point of ruining careers.”

Emergency, directed by and starring Kangana herself, is a political drama that has already garnered significant attention. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1975 Indian Emergency, a 21-month period during which Prime Minister Indira Gandhi unilaterally declared a state of emergency across the country. Kangana portrays the role of Indira Gandhi, bringing her unique perspective and intensity to the portrayal of one of India’s most controversial political figures.

Kangana’s concerns about the negative PR are not unfounded, given her history of controversies and outspoken views on various issues within and outside the film industry. She has often been at the center of debates, and her strong opinions have sometimes led to backlash from certain quarters.

She elaborated, “People in our film industry can be extremely negative to the point of ruining careers. That’s why we are a little hesitant from them, although I speak in Parliament too.” This statement reflects her awareness of the potential challenges she faces, not just as an actress but also as a filmmaker who is tackling sensitive historical subjects.

Despite these concerns, Kangana remains undeterred in her mission to bring Emergency to the big screen. Known for her resilience and determination, she continues to push boundaries in Indian cinema, unafraid to tackle challenging roles and controversial topics.

As the release date for Emergency draws closer, all eyes will be on Kangana and her team to see how they navigate the potential challenges and whether the film can rise above the negativity to make a significant impact.
