Delhi Police Special Cell Seizes Over 560 kg of Cocaine in Major Drug Bust

In one of the largest drug busts in recent history, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police has successfully dismantled an international drug syndicate. The operation, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Amit Kaushik and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kailash Bisht, resulted in the seizure of a staggering 562 kilograms of cocaine and a significant quantity of Thai marijuana valued at Rs 40 lakh per kilogram.

Pramod Singh Kushwaha, Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP), Special Cell, confirmed the arrests of four individuals linked to the syndicate. “Our team, with precise coordination and intelligence gathering, arrested Tushar Goyal, Himanshu, Aurangzeb, and Bharat Jain. Three of these individuals were part of the drug supply chain, while the fourth acted as a receiver,” said ACP Kushwaha.

The seized cocaine, with an estimated street value of Rs 50 crore per kilogram, would have fetched billions in the international black market. Along with the cocaine, the operation also uncovered Thai marijuana, which holds a street price of approximately Rs 40-50 lakh per kilogram.

This operation marks a major breakthrough for the Delhi Police as they continue to combat organized crime and drug trafficking networks that operate across borders. Authorities are now investigating further links and attempting to trace the full extent of the syndicate’s operations.

The bust highlights the increasing collaboration between domestic enforcement agencies and international counterparts in cracking down on drug cartels. While the arrests represent a significant victory, police officials have stressed that further investigations are ongoing, with efforts being made to track down other members of the syndicate who may be operating in India or abroad.

This successful operation underscores the growing challenges of drug trafficking in India, especially with international syndicates expanding their influence. The Special Cell’s swift action has delivered a heavy blow to this particular network, demonstrating its commitment to keeping dangerous substances off the streets.
