    Uttarakhand: Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna Perform ‘Kanya Pujan’ at Divya Yog Mandir in Haridwar

    12 October, 2024;Haridwar, Uttarakhand – Today, renowned Yog Guru Swami Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved Managing Director Acharya Balakrishna continued the revered tradition of ‘Kanya Pujan’ at the Divya Yog Mandir in Kankhal, Haridwar. The event, held in celebration of the Navratri festival, saw young girls being worshipped as incarnations of the goddess, symbolizing purity and the divine feminine.

    ‘Kanya Pujan,’ a significant ritual observed during the Ashtami (eighth day) and Navami (ninth day) of Navratri, involves the honoring of young girls, traditionally considered representations of Goddess Durga. Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna, following this sacred practice, washed the feet of the girls, offered them food, and provided them with gifts. The event was accompanied by chanting of Vedic mantras and prayers for the well-being of all.

    Speaking on the occasion, Swami Ramdev emphasized the importance of valuing and respecting women in society, drawing attention to the spiritual significance of ‘Kanya Pujan’ in fostering equality and reverence towards the feminine energy.
