21 October, 2024;A Telegram post claimed that a recent explosion was in retaliation for alleged attacks on separatists by Indian agents. The claim came from a group called Justice League India, which shared a video of the blast featuring a “Khalistan Zindabad” watermark. Delhi Police are investigating a possible Khalistani connection to the explosion, which occurred at the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar, Rohini. They have requested information from Telegram regarding the group that took responsibility in the purported post.
The message, posted on Sunday evening (October 20), stated that the blast was in response to Indian agents allegedly targeting pro-Khalistan separatists. Justice League India accompanied the video with the caption: “If Indian coward agency and their master think they can hire filthy goons to target our members to silence our voice then they live in a fool’s world. They can’t imagine how close we are to them and how capable we are to strike anytime #KhalistanZindabad #JLI.”
The Delhi Police have not yet received a reply from Telegram and are still verifying the authenticity of the claim. So far, no specific organization has been identified as responsible.
The explosion, which occurred early on Sunday morning, damaged a wall but caused no injuries. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also involved in the investigation. This incident follows a series of bomb threats targeting airlines in recent days.
According to police, the device used in the blast was a low-intensity improvised explosive device (IED), likely controlled by a timer or remote, and did not contain shrapnel or ball bearings. A senior police officer suggested that the goal of the perpetrators may have been to send a message rather than cause harm. After the explosion, teams from the NIA, National Security Guard (NSG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Delhi Police secured the area, and forensic experts collected evidence from the site.
