New Delhi – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has raised serious concerns over the alleged misuse of stringent laws by the government to target opposition leaders, businessmen, and ordinary citizens. In a strongly-worded statement, Sisodia accused the government of resorting to draconian measures typically reserved for drug mafias and terrorists to suppress dissent and political opposition.
Speaking at a public event, Sisodia remarked, “Leaders are being kept in jail, and the laws that are being imposed against drug mafias and terrorists across the world, the same laws are being imposed against leaders, businessmen, and common people. They are being kept in jail for a long time so that they cannot even get bail. This is dictatorship.”
