The judge was abducted near the districts of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan, which are located along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. In response, Chief Minister Gandapur issued orders to secure the judge’s safe return. He emphasized that urgent actions should be taken for the rescue of Marwat and that all resources should be deployed for this purpose.
Gandapur strongly condemned the kidnapping, stating that those responsible will not evade justice.
Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, along with two other judges, convened an emergency meeting to discuss enhancing security measures for senior judges within the province.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Chief Secretary of the province and the Inspector General of Police, Akhtar Hayat Khan Gandapur. Secretary Home Abid Majeed provided an update during this meeting.
To monitor the case’s progress, the district administration has received instructions to ensure the judge is recovered promptly.
