Dibrugarh, Assam – Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Thursday attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of a new ISKCON temple in Dibrugarh, expressing his optimism about the spiritual significance the temple will bring to the region. The event was marked by enthusiasm from the local community, who are eager to see this new place of worship and spiritual reflection come to fruition.
Addressing the gathering, CM Sarma said, “I got the opportunity to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the ISKCON temple in Dibrugarh today. I am confident that it will be completed soon, and the people of Dibrugarh and Upper Assam will get a spiritual place to seek peace and divine blessings.” The temple, once completed, is expected to become a major spiritual center for the region, adding to the religious and cultural landscape of Upper Assam.
Taking Action Against Online Trading Scams
In addition to the temple ceremony, CM Sarma also addressed the pressing issue of online trading scams that have recently come to light in the state. He assured the public that his government is taking swift action to investigate and dismantle fraudulent trading schemes that have impacted numerous victims across Assam.
“I am fulfilling my responsibility, and action is being taken. I will expose this scam,” said Sarma, indicating the seriousness with which his administration is treating the matter. He further revealed that over 30 individuals involved in the scam have already been arrested as part of the ongoing crackdown. The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that those responsible for such fraudulent activities face the full force of the law.
The Assam government has been actively working to strengthen regulatory measures against online scams, and Sarma’s pledge to expose the perpetrators demonstrates a clear commitment to protecting the public from financial exploitation.
