New Delhi: Dushyant Gautam, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the Karol Bagh assembly constituency, expressed gratitude to the party for selecting him as their representative. Speaking to the media, Gautam highlighted his confidence in the BJP’s ability to secure victory in the upcoming Delhi elections, citing the increasing support for the party among Dalit voters.
“I thank the party for this opportunity. I think that the people’s inclination is towards the BJP,” Gautam remarked. He emphasized the significant strides made by the BJP in garnering the support of the Dalit community, attributing this shift to the party’s respect for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and a revered figure among Dalits.
Gautam credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ensuring Ambedkar’s contributions received due recognition. “Dalits are now with the BJP due to the respect that PM Modi and our party have given to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar,” he said, adding that this alignment is indicative of the BJP’s growing inclusivity and commitment to social justice.
The Karol Bagh constituency, which has a significant Dalit population, is expected to be a key battleground in the Delhi elections. The BJP’s emphasis on Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and its welfare policies for marginalized communities are seen as strategic moves to consolidate its voter base in constituencies like Karol Bagh.
Dushyant Gautam expressed optimism about the BJP’s chances of forming the government in Delhi. “BJP will form the government in Delhi,” he declared confidently, asserting that the public’s trust in the party’s leadership and vision will translate into electoral success.
The upcoming elections will test the BJP’s efforts to expand its reach and appeal in the national capital, particularly among communities historically aligned with other political parties. With candidates like Gautam leading the charge, the BJP hopes to make significant inroads and challenge the dominance of rival parties in Delhi.
