New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Parvesh Verma, contesting from the New Delhi assembly constituency, expressed gratitude towards the party’s leadership and outlined his vision for the constituency during a recent address.
“I thank my party’s top leadership for placing their trust in me. I hope to live up to their expectations and serve the people of New Delhi with dedication and sincerity,” Verma said.
Highlighting the challenges faced by Delhi during the COVID-19 pandemic, Verma criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. “When Delhi was facing COVID, and people were struggling to get oxygen, Arvind Kejriwal Ji was busy distributing ‘free bottle on every bottle.’ This kind of governance is unacceptable,” he remarked, suggesting that the AAP government had failed to prioritize the needs of the public during a critical time.
Verma further outlined the pressing issues that need immediate attention in the national capital. “There are many works to be done in Delhi — cleaning the Yamuna river, curbing pollution, and improving basic infrastructure. When the BJP forms the government in Delhi, we will ensure these issues are addressed effectively,” he asserted.
The BJP’s campaign in Delhi has focused on themes of development, accountability, and addressing long-standing civic problems, including pollution control, waste management, and public health. Verma’s comments underline the party’s commitment to tackling these issues and providing a governance model based on transparency and efficiency.
As the assembly elections draw closer, Parvesh Verma’s candidacy will play a significant role in shaping the BJP’s campaign in New Delhi. With his emphasis on practical solutions and accountability, he aims to garner the trust and support of voters in the constituency.
The BJP is expected to intensify its outreach efforts in the coming weeks, with leaders like Verma leading the charge to connect with the electorate and present their vision for a better and more sustainable Delhi.
