Celebrating the Legacy of Lord Shri Krishna Through the Teachings of the Geeta

Jai Shree Krishna!

Dr. Mohan Yadav, a prominent leader, has highlighted the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Madhya Pradesh, which holds a significant place in Indian history. He proudly recalled how Lord Shri Krishna, along with his friend Sudama, came to Sandipani Ashram in Madhya Pradesh to receive their education under Guru Sandipani. This sacred connection not only glorifies the land but also reinforces its status as a cradle of knowledge and spirituality.

In a tribute to this illustrious past, the state government is taking significant steps to inspire the younger generation to imbibe the teachings of the Bhagavad Geeta. In collaboration with the ISKCON Institute and the School Education Department, a special competition will be organized to mark the occasion of Geeta Jayanti.

Geeta Jayanti, celebrated on the Shukla Ekadashi of the Margashirsha month, commemorates the day when Lord Krishna delivered the divine discourse of the Bhagavad Geeta to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It is a day to reflect on the timeless wisdom of the Geeta, which offers guidance on duty, righteousness, and the path to spiritual enlightenment.

Through this initiative, students will have the opportunity to recite verses from the Geeta, fostering an appreciation for its profound teachings. The competition aims to encourage children to connect with their spiritual roots, enhance their understanding of moral values, and develop a sense of pride in their heritage.

Dr. Mohan Yadav has urged everyone to participate enthusiastically in this celebration of knowledge and devotion. By engaging with the teachings of the Bhagavad Geeta, we not only honor our glorious past but also equip ourselves with wisdom to navigate the challenges of the modern world.

Let us come together to recite the sacred verses of the Geeta and be a part of this inspiring initiative. Jai Shree Krishna!
