Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge Stadium will pay tribute to the late YouTuber Abhradeep Saha, known as Angry Rantman. Abhradeep passed away at the age of 27 on April 17 due to multiple organ failure. Renowned for his passionate support of Chelsea and his viral “no passion, no vision” rant in 2017, his death deeply saddened his fans. Yet, there’s a silver lining as a memorial is being arranged at Stamford Bridge.
Tom Overend, a fellow Chelsea enthusiast and content creator, worked with Abhradeep’s family to plan the tribute. “We have been able to connect his family with Chelsea to organize a tribute at an upcoming game, and to feature him in the Matchday program. I will update everyone on the specific game soon,” he shared on ‘X’. This initiative follows Tom’s previous efforts to garner support for this tribute and connect with Abhradeep’s family, sparking immense gratitude among fans. “Thank you so much, Tom. This means a lot to each of us,” commented one user, while another added, “Excellent work, Tom. Really proud of you for doing this, brother. It will mean a lot to Abhradeep’s family.”
Abhradeep, celebrated for his unique sports commentary, was admitted to Narayana Cardiac Hospital in Bengaluru for severe health complications and underwent open heart surgery. Despite the efforts, he succumbed to multiple organ failure and was placed on life support. His family announced his passing to his nearly 480,000 YouTube subscribers and 124,000 Instagram followers. “With profound grief, we declare the sad and untimely demise of Abhradeep Saha AKA #AngryRantman today at 10:18 hrs IST. He touched the lives of millions with his honesty, humor, and unwavering spirit and will be deeply missed,” they posted on Instagram. “As we mourn his loss, let’s remember the joy he brought to our lives and cherish the memories we shared.
