Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh – May 3, 2025:A massive fire broke out in a biscuit factory located in the Sarojini Nagar area of Lucknow earlier today, prompting swift response from local authorities. The blaze, which erupted under unclear circumstances, led to panic in the surrounding area as thick smoke engulfed the premises.
Officials from the Fire Department reached the site promptly and managed to bring the fire under control after intense efforts. Multiple fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
While the flames have been successfully extinguished, a search and rescue operation is still underway, being led by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The team is thoroughly inspecting the factory premises to ensure that no individuals are trapped or injured. So far, there have been no confirmed reports of casualties or injuries, but officials are yet to provide a final update.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Preliminary assessments suggest it could have started due to an electrical short circuit, though this has not been officially confirmed.
