At AIIMS Rishikesh, Rawat spent time interacting with the injured passengers and their families, expressing his sympathy and solidarity. Rawat also spoke with the hospital staff and doctors to understand the medical treatments being administered to the victims, expressing gratitude to the healthcare team for their prompt response.
Speaking to the media after his visit, Harish Rawat expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.
