Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi Flags Off 20 High-Tech Volvo Buses in Gandhinagar

In a significant boost to the state’s public transportation system, Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi flagged off 20 new Volvo buses in a grand ceremony in Gandhinagar. These state-of-the-art buses are the latest addition to the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) fleet and are equipped with advanced technology for passenger safety and comfort.

During the event, Harsh Sanghvi highlighted the government’s commitment to modernizing public transport under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. He emphasized the high-tech features of these new buses, saying, “Today, under the leadership of CM Bhupendra Patel, 20 high-tech Volvo buses were flagged off by the Gujarat government. These are the first buses that have similar technology as submarines and aeroplanes to control fire.”

The buses are designed to enhance both passenger safety and operational efficiency. The advanced fire control systems in the buses use technology typically found in submarines and airplanes, ensuring a higher level of protection in the event of an emergency. These safety measures, combined with other modern amenities, make these Volvo buses a significant upgrade for the state’s public transport network.

These buses will operate across various routes, offering passengers a more comfortable and secure travel experience. With this new fleet, the Gujarat government aims to not only improve the efficiency of public transport but also promote a greener and more sustainable mode of transportation.

The move is part of the larger initiative by the state government to strengthen infrastructure and public services across Gujarat. By introducing these high-tech buses, the government showcases its commitment to innovation and the well-being of its citizens.

This launch is expected to set a new standard for public transportation in the state, making travel more convenient and secure for passengers.
