In a significant boost to the state’s public transportation system, Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi flagged off 20 new Volvo buses in a grand ceremony in Gandhinagar. These state-of-the-art buses are the latest addition to the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) fleet and are equipped with advanced technology for passenger safety and comfort.
During the event, Harsh Sanghvi highlighted the government’s commitment to modernizing public transport under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. He emphasized the high-tech features of these new buses, saying, “Today, under the leadership of CM Bhupendra Patel, 20 high-tech Volvo buses were flagged off by the Gujarat government. These are the first buses that have similar technology as submarines and aeroplanes to control fire.”

The advanced fire control systems in the buses use technology typically found in submarines and airplanes, ensuring a higher level of protection in the event of an emergency.
