Patna, Bihar: Pappu Yadav Criticizes Jan Suraaj Party Chief Prashant Kishore

19 October, 2024;In a scathing statement, independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, has openly criticized Prashant Kishore, chief of the Jan Suraaj Party, accusing him of surrounding himself with individuals disconnected from the reality of Bihar’s problems. Yadav’s remarks reflect growing dissatisfaction with Kishore’s leadership style and his approach to tackling issues in the state.

Yadav lashed out at Kishore for allegedly assembling a core team of former bureaucrats, claiming that many of them, despite holding prestigious positions like IAS and IPS officers, lack a deep understanding of Bihar’s social landscape. “All the looters IAS, IPS are being called core team. Many people do not have social knowledge. They think that everything happens for money,” Yadav remarked.

One of Yadav’s strongest criticisms targeted Kishore’s party-building efforts, accusing him of being out of touch with pressing local concerns, such as corruption. “If you want to bring about a revolution, try stopping corruption,” Yadav said. He pointed out everyday struggles faced by the people, citing that even something as basic as changing an Aadhaar card number costs 400 rupees—a situation he believes requires urgent attention rather than grand political rhetoric.

Yadav further lambasted Kishore for his alleged indifference during times of crisis, notably during Bihar’s floods. He accused Kishore of being more focused on forming his political party during those critical moments, stating, “Where were you during the floods? You were forming a party on the day of the floods.” Yadav also took aim at Kishore’s activities on Gandhi Jayanti, accusing him of making controversial remarks about liquor, while failing to address the rampant problem of illicit liquor in the state. “First, stop the poisonous liquor and give money to 51 people,” he urged.

Yadav’s comments reflect his frustration with what he perceives as Kishore’s disconnection from Bihar’s on-ground realities. “They go on tours worth billions of rupees and they don’t have money,” Yadav concluded, highlighting his view that Kishore’s leadership is extravagant and ineffective.

This public outburst signals a growing divide in Bihar’s political landscape, as local leaders like Yadav seek to challenge the emerging leadership of figures like Kishore, demanding more direct action on issues like corruption, floods, and illegal liquor trade.

As political tensions rise in Bihar, the debate over who is truly equipped to lead the state into the future continues to intensify.
