Last week, a missing report emerged for ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ star Gurucharan Singh, known on-screen as Sodhi, who was last seen in Delhi. Since his disappearance on April 22, family members, co-stars, and fans have expressed growing concern. Amid ongoing police investigations, a recent report has surfaced indicating that Gurucharan was planning to marry soon and was experiencing financial troubles.
According to the report, he left his home for the airport in Delhi but did not take the usual route to the airport. Further details revealed that Gurucharan was observed wandering the streets of Delhi with a backpack and had withdrawn Rs 7000 from an ATM before he went missing.
His phone’s last known location was in Delhi until April 24, after which it has been turned off. He was last tracked near his home in Palam. On Friday, his father filed a missing person report stating, “My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, nor has he returned home, and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing.”
Gurucharan’s close friend, Ms. Soni, shared with Pinkvilla that the actor had been unwell for several days prior to his departure and had undergone medical tests. She also noted that he was not eating well in the days leading up to his trip to Delhi. “Before leaving for Delhi, his blood pressure was high and he had undergone a few tests as well. He wasn’t even eating much before he left for Delhi. I really hope and pray that he is fine and returns back safe and sound,” Ms. Soni expressed.
