30 November, 2024; Hapur, Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Munawwar Hasan expressed strong disapproval over the obstruction of her party’s delegation en route to Sambhal. The delegation was reportedly heading to brief party chief Akhilesh Yadav regarding an incident in Sambhal when they were stopped by authorities at various locations.
Speaking to the media, MP Iqra Munawwar Hasan stated, “The delegation of the Samajwadi Party was going to Sambhal to give the information regarding the Sambhal incident to Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, but they have stopped us. The delegation of the Samajwadi Party is being stopped at different places. How can they stop us from going to Sambhal?”
The incident has sparked political tension, with the Samajwadi Party viewing the restrictions as an infringement on their democratic rights. MP Hasan further added, “We will also raise this issue in the Parliament,” signaling the party’s intent to escalate the matter on a national platform.
