In Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, voting for the Vijaypur by-election is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Sheopur’s Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Satyendra Singh Tomar, provided insights into the security arrangements that have been set up to ensure smooth and safe polling. A total of 327 polling stations have been established across the area, with 164 of these marked as sensitive.
Enhanced security measures are being enforced, especially at sensitive polling locations. Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) have been deployed at 66 critical polling stations to maintain order and prevent any potential disruptions. ASP Tomar emphasized that the police have taken every necessary precaution to secure all polling stations and have divided them into different sectors to facilitate efficient management and rapid response to any emerging situation.
In a separate incident, authorities responded swiftly to a firing incident in Dhanachaya village, resulting in the arrest of two individuals. The ASP confirmed that the situation has been brought under control and that an investigation is currently underway to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the incident.
With these security measures in place, the administration is focused on ensuring that the by-election proceeds peacefully, enabling voters to exercise their democratic rights without fear or interference.
