Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes State Government Ahead of Bihar By-Elections: “People are Fed Up,” Promises Support for Mahagathbandhan

Patna, Bihar: As Bihar gears up for its upcoming by-elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has made pointed criticisms of the state’s current administration. Yadav addressed local grievances and promised that the Mahagathbandhan, or Grand Alliance, is ready to address the issues that matter most to the people of Bihar.

During a recent speech, Yadav emphasized that citizens are becoming increasingly frustrated with what he termed as “bureaucratic burdens” like pre-paid electricity meters and frequent land surveys. “People are fed up with pre-paid meters and land surveys. Crime is increasing day by day, and law and order have collapsed,” he stated, expressing his concerns about the current state administration’s ability to maintain public safety and stability.

Bihar has seen a spate of issues related to public dissatisfaction with pre-paid electricity meters, which residents argue lead to inflated bills and technical glitches. Additionally, extensive land surveys are causing grievances, with people voicing complaints about bureaucratic delays and confusion regarding property records. Tejashwi Yadav suggested that these issues reflect a wider disconnect between the government and the everyday needs of Biharis.

Yadav’s speech also highlighted growing concerns over law and order in the state. With crime rates reportedly on the rise, he criticized the ruling government for what he described as a failure to safeguard public welfare. “Law and order have collapsed,” he said, underscoring his stance that security should be a top priority in Bihar’s governance.

Confident in the Mahagathbandhan’s prospects, Yadav announced plans to actively campaign for the alliance, asserting that the coalition is best positioned to restore stability and address the people’s needs. “We will go among the people and ask for votes in favour of the Mahagathbandhan. We are confident that we will win all four seats in by-elections,” he affirmed.

The Mahagathbandhan, a coalition of the RJD, Congress, and other regional parties, has presented itself as a powerful alternative to the ruling government. With Tejashwi Yadav as one of its prominent leaders, the alliance has focused its campaign on bridging gaps in public services and prioritizing citizens’ welfare. Yadav’s call for support reflects the coalition’s confidence in its ability to gain traction and win key seats in the by-elections.

As Bihar’s political landscape heats up ahead of the by-elections, all eyes are on the Mahagathbandhan’s promises to address these pressing issues. Yadav’s recent statements underscore the alliance’s commitment to listening to the people’s voices, a strategy they believe will translate into votes and potential victory in the upcoming election.
