12 November, 2024; On the auspicious occasion of Prabodhini Ekadashi, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended his heartfelt wishes to the people of India. This holy day, which holds special significance in Hindu culture, marks the end of the four-month period of Chaturmas, during which Lord Vishnu, the preserver and protector in the Hindu trinity, is believed to awaken from his cosmic slumber. This day is also celebrated as the beginning of auspicious events, including marriages, which were traditionally avoided during the Chaturmas period.
In his message, Chouhan emphasized the spiritual importance of Prabodhini Ekadashi, which encourages devotees to seek blessings from Lord Vishnu, pray for peace, prosperity, and well-being, and practice compassion. This day also marks the Tulsi Vivah, a symbolic wedding between Lord Vishnu and the sacred Tulsi plant, signifying the union of divine forces for the welfare of humanity. On this special occasion, Minister Chouhan urged citizens to embrace the values of humility and service associated with Prabodhini Ekadashi and work together for a prosperous and united India.
