US Police Deny Reports of Gangster Goldy Brar’s Murder in California

MAY 2:The Fresno Police Department has refuted claims that Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, implicated in the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala, was killed in a shooting in California. The rumors of Brar’s death began circulating after an incident on Wednesday in Fresno, where two men were reportedly shot following an altercation at Fairmont and Holt Avenue. One of the men succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. This led to widespread speculation on social media that the deceased was Goldy Brar.

Lieutenant William J. Dooley addressed these rumors, stating, “In response to online rumors suggesting that the shooting victim was Goldy Brar, we can confirm that this is not the case.” He added, “We’ve received numerous inquiries from across the globe this morning due to the spread of misinformation on social media and some news outlets. It’s unclear who initiated these rumors, but they spread rapidly. However, they are not accurate. The individual who died is definitively not Goldy Brar.”

The Fresno Police Department identified the victim as 37-year-old Xavier Gladney. They provided further details through an Instagram post: “On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at around 5:30 p.m., Fresno Police officers were called to the scene at Fairmont and Holt Avenue due to a ShotSpotter alert. Upon arrival, officers found Xavier Gladney with a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to CRMC, where he was pronounced dead.”
